Trailer Wednesday

    To continue my horror/thriller film trailers of some of my favorites I bring two early films from one of my personal favorite directors David Cronenberg. Commonly known as the King of Venereal Horror or Body Horror master, Cronenberg directs films that are very unsettling and commonly focus on the fear of something or some disease taking over your body from the inside. That fear is portrayed exceptionally and gruesomely in Cronenberg's early fantastic horror films The Brood (1979) and Scanners (1981). These films from the Canadian master are just amazing horror films and show that brains and great suspenseful, horror, along with outstanding cinematography and makeup, can present films that are not only terrifying, but just fun to watch. Cronenberg's films have so much thought put into them and being that he writes most of his films as well, they never disappoint. His early films are just eerie and fun to rewatch over and over again.
